Payments that reconcile, not just render

Payment Gateway Integration Services for Razorpay, Stripe and UPI

Our payment gateway integration services take you from a working checkout to money you can trust: Razorpay, Stripe and UPI AutoPay wired into your website, app or SaaS, with verified webhooks, safe retries, refunds, GST-ready invoices and a daily reconciliation your accountant will believe.

  • Team in Jaipur, India
  • MSME & GST registered
  • Live product demos you can try

Adding a pay button takes an afternoon. Payment gateway integration services earn their fee after the button: the webhook that arrives twice, the UPI payment stuck ‘pending’ for an hour, the renewal that fails because the customer paused their mandate. We build the whole loop — order creation, checkout, server-side verification, webhooks, retries, refunds and reconciliation — so the status in your database always matches the money in your settlement report.

We work with Razorpay and Stripe most often, plus UPI AutoPay mandates for recurring billing in India. Typical projects: a website that needs a clean checkout, a SaaS product moving from manual invoices to subscriptions, a booking system that collects deposits, an edtech platform selling in instalments, or an Indian company billing overseas customers. Back ends are usually Django or FastAPI; front ends React, Next.js, Flutter or React Native.

Payments rarely live alone, so we also connect the systems around them: Zoom for paid webinars and classes, WhatsApp Business API for order updates, Twilio for SMS, and your CRM. Ezibell Tech is an MSME and GST-registered company in Jaipur working with clients across India and abroad. You get senior Python developers, a written test plan for every money path, and hand-over notes your team can maintain.

Payments that reconcile, not just render

What our payment gateway integration services cover

Checkout that converts

Razorpay Standard Checkout, Stripe Checkout or the Payment Element, with server-created orders so the amount can’t be tampered with in the browser. UPI intent and QR, cards, netbanking and wallets, with clear failure messages and a retry path.

Subscriptions and UPI AutoPay

Plans, trials, upgrades, downgrades and proration with Razorpay Subscriptions or Stripe Billing. UPI AutoPay and card e-mandates registered with the customer’s authentication, pre-debit notifications handled through the gateway, and dunning logic for failed renewals so paying customers don’t silently lapse.

Webhooks done properly

Signature verification on every event, idempotent handlers keyed on event and payment IDs, safe handling of duplicates and out-of-order delivery, and a queue (Celery or SQS) so slow downstream work never makes the gateway time out and retry.

Refunds, invoices and reconciliation

Full and partial refunds from your admin panel, GST-ready invoices, and a scheduled job that matches orders against the gateway’s payment and settlement reports. Mismatches land in an exceptions list for a person to review, instead of surfacing months later during an audit.

International payments

Multi-currency pricing, cards from overseas customers, and the paperwork side for an Indian entity: collecting billing name and address, keeping remittance records, and choosing between Razorpay international and Stripe based on what your account is actually approved for.

Marketplace and split payments

Razorpay Route or Stripe Connect for platforms that pay out to vendors, tutors or partners: linked accounts, onboarding and KYC flows, holds released on delivery, commission logic and payout reports per partner that your finance team can check.

Zoom, WhatsApp and other API integrations

The integrations around the payment: a Zoom meeting created and its link sent the moment a class fee clears, WhatsApp Business template messages for confirmations and reminders, paid orders synced to your CRM, and accounting-friendly exports.

Security and PCI scope reduction

Hosted or embedded gateway checkout so card data never touches your servers, API keys in a secrets manager rather than in code, separate test and live environments, and an audit log on every refund and manual status change.

Razorpay, Stripe or both: how to choose

For a business selling mainly to Indian customers, Razorpay is usually the default: UPI, RuPay, netbanking and wallets are first-class, UPI AutoPay is mature and settlements land in INR. Stripe’s strengths are its API design, Billing, Tax and Connect, and a checkout international customers recognise. If most revenue comes from overseas, or your product is a global SaaS, a Stripe-first setup (with Razorpay for Indian customers) often makes more sense.

Account eligibility matters more than feature lists. Each gateway decides what your entity can do — international cards, subscriptions, certain business categories — and approvals take time and can change. We check what your account is enabled for first. Where a second gateway is justified, we put a thin payments interface in your code so checkout, webhooks and refunds behave the same whichever provider handles them, and switching or failing over becomes configuration rather than a rewrite.

  • Mostly Indian customers, UPI-heavy: Razorpay first
  • Global SaaS, card-heavy, needs Billing or Tax: Stripe first
  • Marketplace payouts: Route or Connect, depending on where sellers are

Recurring payments in India: mandates, not saved cards

Recurring billing in India runs on mandates. Under the RBI e-mandate framework the customer authorises a mandate once — in their UPI app with their PIN for UPI AutoPay, or with additional authentication for cards — and the customer must be notified before each debit. Above a regulated value threshold, individual debits need fresh authentication. Customers can also pause or revoke a mandate from their bank or UPI app at any time, and your system has to notice when they do.

That changes the engineering. A subscription cannot simply be ‘active until cancelled’; it needs states for mandate pending, active, paused, cancelled by the customer, halted after failed retries and expired. RBI rules also stop merchants storing card numbers, so ‘saved cards’ rely on network tokens. We model these states explicitly, subscribe to every relevant webhook, tell customers why a renewal failed and how to fix it, and list at-risk subscriptions for your team.

  • Set mandate amounts and frequency that fit your plans
  • Update or re-create mandates on plan changes where the gateway requires it
  • Offer a fallback payment link when a mandate fails

The failure modes that cost real money

Most payment bugs aren’t in the happy path. A customer closes the tab after paying, so the browser callback never fires and the webhook is the only record. A webhook arrives before your order row is committed. The gateway retries an event you already processed, and a naive handler ships the order twice. A UPI payment sits in ‘created’ for an hour, then succeeds. Each case is predictable, and each needs code.

Our pattern: the server creates the order and stores the gateway order ID; the client never decides the amount; payment status changes only through verified webhooks or a server-side fetch; every handler is idempotent on the gateway’s event ID; a scheduled job re-checks anything stuck in pending; and reconciliation compares your ledger to the settlement report daily. Outbound calls use idempotency keys where the gateway supports them, so a retried refund never becomes a double refund.

Testing is where this gets proven. We write cases for each failure mode using the gateways’ test modes and simulated webhooks: duplicate delivery, delayed delivery, signature mismatch, partial refund, failed renewal and a mandate cancelled from the bank side. Before go-live we run a few low-value live transactions and refund them. Your team gets a runbook per case; developers who want to go deeper can join our payments and video integrations programme.

Process

How we work

  1. 1Payment flow review

We map what you sell, who pays, in which currency, one-time or recurring, and what happens after payment — and check what your gateway account is approved for.

  2. 2Design the money paths

Order states, webhook events, refund rules, invoice numbering and reconciliation are written down before any code. You approve a short spec that lists every edge case and who handles it.

  3. 3Build in test mode

Checkout, server verification, webhooks, admin tools and notifications are built against the gateway sandbox, with automated tests for duplicate events, delays, failures and partial refunds.

  4. 4Live-mode dry run

We switch to live keys in a controlled window, run real low-value transactions end to end, refund them, and confirm they appear correctly in settlement and reconciliation reports.

  5. 5Launch and watch

Go-live with alerts on webhook failures, signature errors, stuck pending payments and reconciliation mismatches. We watch closely through the first settlement and the first renewal cycle.

  6. 6Hand over or support

You get runbooks, environment notes and a walkthrough. Keep us on a support retainer for gateway API changes and new payment methods, or let your own team take over.

Why teams choose us

Python back-end depthPayments are back-end work. Our senior Python developers build with Django, FastAPI, Celery and PostgreSQL, so state machines, queues and reconciliation jobs are designed properly rather than patched into a plugin.
India and international in one teamWe understand UPI, RuPay, e-mandates and GST invoices for domestic sales, and we also set up Stripe and multi-currency billing for Indian companies selling overseas.
Edge cases written downEvery integration ships with a test plan covering duplicates, delays, failures, refunds and mandate changes, so you can see exactly what was tested before real money moves.

Pricing

What drives the cost of a payment integration

A single checkout and a multi-gateway subscription platform are different projects, so there is no honest flat price. These factors move the quote; share your scope and we send a fixed price.

One-time or recurring

Subscriptions and mandates add states, webhooks, dunning and customer self-service screens. They are usually the largest single cost driver.

Gateways and currencies

One gateway in INR is simplest. A second gateway, a payments abstraction layer or multi-currency pricing adds design and testing work.

Marketplace payouts

Split payments, vendor onboarding and payout reports bring KYC flows and a second layer of reconciliation.

Reconciliation depth

A paid/unpaid view is quick. Matching settlements, fees, refunds and GST to your books takes longer but saves more later.

State of your existing code

A clean Django or FastAPI back end integrates quickly. Payment logic scattered through the front end may need moving to the server first.

Surrounding integrations

Zoom, WhatsApp and CRM sync are each small, but each needs its own failure handling.

FAQ

Payment gateway integration services: questions people ask

Should I use Razorpay or Stripe?

For mostly Indian customers paying by UPI, cards and netbanking, Razorpay is usually the simpler choice, with mature UPI AutoPay and INR settlements. For a global SaaS with mostly international card payments, Stripe’s Billing, Tax and checkout are strong. Many businesses run both behind one payments layer. The deciding factor is often what each gateway approves your account for, so we check that first.

How do recurring payments and UPI AutoPay work in India?

Recurring payments run on mandates. The customer approves a mandate once — with their UPI PIN for UPI AutoPay, or extra authentication for cards — and is notified before each debit. Higher-value debits may need fresh authentication under RBI rules, and customers can pause or cancel from their bank or UPI app. We build subscription states and webhook handling that cope with all of this.

How do you handle webhooks, failed payments, refunds and idempotency?

Every webhook is signature-verified and processed idempotently on the gateway’s event ID, so retries never double-ship or double-credit. Slow work goes to a queue. A scheduled job re-checks payments stuck in pending, failed renewals trigger a reminder and fallback payment link, and refunds use idempotency keys with an audit log.

Can an Indian company accept international payments?

Yes, if your gateway account is enabled for it. Razorpay and Stripe both support international cards for eligible Indian businesses. You will usually need to collect the customer’s billing name and address and keep remittance records for export of services. We set up multi-currency display, the checkout and those records.

How long does a payment gateway integration take?

A single-gateway, one-time checkout on a clean back end can take days to a couple of weeks. Subscriptions with UPI AutoPay, multi-gateway setups or marketplace payouts take longer and fit within our standard 2–8 week project window. Gateway account approvals can be slow, so we start that paperwork on day one, in parallel with development.

What is PCI DSS scope and how do you minimise it?

PCI DSS applies to any business that handles card data, and the simplest way to shrink your scope is never to touch it. We use the gateway’s hosted or embedded checkout, so card numbers go straight to Razorpay or Stripe and your servers only see tokens and payment IDs. That typically leaves you with the lightest self-assessment questionnaire.

Can you add payments to my existing website or app?

Usually, yes. We add payments to Django, FastAPI and other back ends through their APIs, and to React, Next.js, Flutter or React Native front ends using the gateways’ SDKs. If payment logic currently lives in the browser, we first move amount calculation and verification to the server.

What do your payment gateway integration services include after launch?

After go-live we monitor webhook failures, stuck payments and reconciliation mismatches through the first settlement and renewal cycle. Then you can keep us on a retainer for gateway API changes, new payment methods and new plans, or take over with our runbooks. Gateways change APIs and compliance rules regularly, so someone should own that.
